UPDATE ON "SAVE OUR PAYLESS IGA"
Hello Upcountry Citizens.
This is an update on our Task Force work to attempt to save our IGA Payless Store in Buckhorn.  We have so far collected over 750 signatures! We are still at work about this with volunteers still gathering signatures in front of the store Friday and Saturday and many days next week. We will also have a flyer in the Volcano Telephone bills sent out next week.
If any of you may volunteer to staff the booth at the store in late afternoon next week, please contact Cherylanne Pobuta at 295-8846 to let her know.
Our plan is to send a copy of all of the signatures to the primary purchasers of the store, with cc to the current owners, by the first week in May.
Please feel free to contact me if you have questions.
 My Best,
 Lynn Morgan

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
The Motherlode Hot Jazz Party committee needs several more volunteers to staff the venues for a few hours on Saturday, April 27. You can enjoy a day of music at the Hot Jazz Party, while helping to raise funds for The Arc. Volunteers are needed to take tickets at Teresa's, Thomi's, and the National. We are offering two free passes to all volunteers so that you and spouse or friend can enjoy the Hot Jazz Party before or after your shift. Contact Lucy Hackett at 223-4603 or johnhaedrich@sbcglobal.net and let her know whether you prefer a morning or afternoon shift. Thanks!
