United States secures $50.5 million in settlement for Power and Whiskey Fires
Under a settlement filed Thursday, PG&E agreed to pay a $45 million
settlement related to the Power Fire in Amador County.
The Forest Service claims the fire was started by tree-trimmers smoking while

AMADOR COUNTY LIBRARY SUMMER READING PROGRAM
will start June 17th and run through July 27th. On Wednesday June 26th
from 2 – 3 p.m. the library will have its 2nd annual Stuffed Animal
Sleepover. Registration is required. On Thursday June 27th from 11 –
