NOTE FROM MOTHER LODE HARVEST: We have important news to share with you today. At our board meeting this past Monday, the board decided to suspend box deliveries until we have a fully functioning website. It is close to impossible to conduct our business without it and puts an incredible burden on our volunteers, i.e. Carolyn and Deborah who have to deal with trying to do their jobs without it. We are actively working on a solution and will keep you posted but we anticipate we will suspend operation through the end of the year.
We wish everyone a joyful holiday season and look forward to seeing you next year, full steam ahead.

BETWEEN NOW and DECEMBER, deer and other wildlife are more susceptible than usual to vehicle collisions.
"Soon, deer will start their annual migrations to winter range, bucks will be preoccupied competing for mates, and bears will be searching for food in preparation for hibernation. Such natural behaviors can lead these animals into the way of unsuspecting drivers."
"Drivers can improve their own safety by simply slowing down and remaining alert while driving. We are committed to safety while being mindful of the environment, using signage, fencing, and under crossings to reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions along roadways, especially in wildlife corridors.”

ART IN PUBLIC PLACES - The Amador County Artist Association (ACAA) has several benefits to being a member, one of those being Art in Public Places, where the artist can get regular exposure to build a reputation and occasionally make a sale with no commission fees.  This program also gives the location the opportunity to be known for original art on their walls and to promote awareness of original art. The exhibits rotate every 2 months.
Our current locations include Rosebud’s Cafe (downtown Jackson); the Superior Court of CA, County of Amador; American River Bank; Amador Senior Center; Sierra Eye Care; Amador Residential Care; Jackson Paint Spot; and Castle Oaks Golf Club in Ione. Currently, the program has a good balance of artists to locations. New artists and locations are always welcome. If you would like more information, contact Colleen Williams, Committee Chairperson, colleenwill@volcano.net or (209) 295-2877.
