SMALL TOWN TRADITION CONTINUES IN MOKE HILL ON JULY 4
Small town tradition and charm march down Main Street in Mokelumne Hill for their annual 4th of July parade and celebration. One of the oldest continuous 4th of July parades in the Mother lode, viewers will be entertained with horse riders, antique cars and trucks, floats and wild diversions, marchers, cowboys and wondrous moments of fabulous fancy. A spectacular display of fire engines and trucks is the perfect finale.
The day starts off with the Veterans pancake breakfast starting at 7am in the Town Hall; leading to the parade which starts at 11am.  Children’s games and races will begin after the parade in Shutter Tree Park.
Vendor booths will crowd north Main Street with parade and carnival goods, the famous Lion’s Club bratwursts and the Mokelumne Hill Volunteer Firefighters’ Association selling t-shirts, nachos and BBQ’d pulled pork sandwiches from the old fire house on Main St.
Many businesses and homes on Main Street will be hosting coffee, pastries and tours of historical interests.
Bring your chairs, your children and grandma and have your hearts touched with 4th of July magic, Moke Hill Style.
For vendor, parade entrant or other information call Susan or Terry Weatherby at 286-1241.
