JACKSON GROCERY OUTLET’S ANNUAL “INDEPENDENCE FROM HUNGER” FOOD DRIVE - Help us stop hunger in our community! To help members of our community put food on their tables, we're hosting our fourth annual Independence from Hunger food drive. Over the past three Julys, Grocery Outlet stores and their customers collectively donated more than $818,677, and in 2014, we are hoping to raise even more support to help fight hunger.
This Year, Jackson Grocery Outlet is once again partnering with the Interfaith Food Bank to help those in need locally.
Here's what you can do to help:
Jackson Grocery Outlet is making it simple to join the Independence from Hunger cause with easy options for their customers:
- Tell a Grocery Outlet cashier that you would like to make a cash donation at the register. All moneys raised will go directly to the Interfaith Food Bank.
- Purchase a pre-packaged bag of groceries to go directly to the Interfaith Food Bank.
- Pick up information at the Jackson Grocery Outlet store about hunger, food insecurity and local/national resources for people in need.
- Join us at the Jackson Grocery Outlet on July 12th from Noon to 3 pm for free ice cream cones, with all donations supporting the "Independence from Hunger" campaign.
Please join us for the month of July to help our community and help us spread awareness about hunger! Thank you for your support.
Best Regards,
The Jackson Grocery Outlet Team

MSTW NEEDS A PROP: A stuffed raccoon. The second MSTW show, The Golden State, is actually not that prop heavy, but we do have a rather odd prop. I'm hoping someone in the know world is in possession of such a thing. We need a taxidermied raccoon. Yes, a stuffed raccoon. Most of the props will be in the prop shop but I know for a fact we don't have a stuffed raccoon. Would it be possible for you to put out a call for the raccoon? Of all the odd things. A stuffed raccoon. I'm still stymied. What are these playwrites thinking? Please email me (Joanne Shugart) if you can help at chulajo@ymail.com

DO YOU HAVE STACKS OF NEWSPAPERS laying around your house, waiting to be recycled? Then please bring them on down to the Busi Parking lot in Jackson behind Mel's. The Boy Scout Troops of Amador County are collecting your newspaper donations and accept on an on-going basis. The large cargo container sits at the very back of the parking lot. There should be pallets next to the dumpster, where everyone can leave their stacks. Anyone can drop off their newspapers 7 days a week, day or night. We ask that you only donate actual newspapers, no glossy advertising, magazines or books. All proceeds directly benefit the various Troops in Amador County. It's a Win-Win for everyone, Scouts, you and the environment! For more information, contact Jenny Fritz at artsychickenfarm@gmail.com

MSTW NEEDS A PROP: A stuffed raccoon. The second MSTW show, The Golden State, is actually not that prop heavy but we do have a rather odd prop.
