NEWS SPLASH! Help Foothill Conservancy Share the Moke!
The Foothill Conservancy's gone live on the web to keep our beloved
Mokelumne River Wild and Scenic forever! We've launched a 60-day online
fundraising campaign Help us share the Mokelumne River to raise $10,000 to purchase a fully outfitted raft. We
will use this raft to share the Mokelumne's scenic beauty and wild
nature with opinion leaders and public officials whose support we must
have to achieve Wild and Scenic designation for the river.
There is
nothing like taking people out on our beloved Moke to help them
understand why we need to save this beautiful river. It’s easy for them
to ignore the wonders of the river if it’s only a line on the map or
something they see from its bridges. But once people raft the Mokelumne
and experience its beauty and its magic, they understand why we need to
save it. Join us on this wild ride by visiting our Help us share the
Mokelumne River site. We’ve got some unique perks to choose from,
including a chance to name our raft!
Help us make some noise about
our campaign! forward this email to your friends. Post it to your blog,
Facebook, Twitter, or local bulletin board.
Thank you for helping us save the Moke for good!
The Foothill Conservancy's mission is to protect, restore, and sustain
the natural and human environment in Amador and Calaveras counties for
the benefit of current and future generations.
