THIS JUST IN: AMADOR FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT URGES RESIDENTS TO REFRAIN FROM BURNING
Amador Fire Protection District urges residents to voluntarily refrain from the burning of any vegetation piles until we receive a much needed rain. By waiting to burn until after a wetting rain, the chance of escaped control burns will be lessened. Fortunately for all of us the many recent escaped burns have not escalated into major events, thanks in part to the quick fire suppression actions of state and local fire departments. We may not continue to be so fortunate.
Should you however choose to still burn because it is declared a “permissive
burn day” then we ask that you exercise extreme caution and make sure to follow
all the safety requirements listed on your burn permit.

We have over 1,020 families, current food bank clients that have requested our holiday meal basket this year.
If
the remaining families are not adopted, the food bank will have to
absorb the cost of providing this holiday meal. Absorbing these costs
will surely put a dent in our food purchasing budget.
If you can help, please call 209-267-9006, send a contribution to 12181 Airport Road Jackson CA 95642 or visit feedamador.org and contribute on line. You can"CLICK" on the Donate button and note Project Thanks,
You can "CLICK IT TO FIX IT!"
The average cost of a holiday basket is $45.
Any amount will help. Or you can donate a frozen turkey during our Turkey Drive Friday and Saturday November 15th and 16th between 12pm and 6pm at Thomi's Cafe in Jackson
